About The Artist

                                                 

About the Artist Hemi is 10 years old.  He lives in Auckland in New Zealand. He goes to Elm Park School and has been attending for 6 years. Hemi’s favorite subject is P.E, Maths, and Writing. Hemi’s favorite art piece at school is his eye art because he thinks he did a good job.  He has tried his best and he has learned a lot.  Hemi’s favorite thing he liked doing about his eye art was painting and polishing. The School Values Hemi has been using at School are Honesty, Quality, Trust and Perseverance because he has tried his hardest to make good quality art work. When Hemi grows up he wants to be a Road Worker or a Policeman for New Zealand. Hemi’s future goal is to have a Happy Family and a nice Wife.

Learning Reflection

I have been learning to write in third person.
I am proud of being able to write in third person.
It can be tricky to write he and him instead of me and I.
If I need help I can ask a buddy or my teacher
The next step for me might be to write in second person

Japanese Calligraphy

Last Thursday we had a visit from HOSHINO GAKUEN PRIMARY SCHOOL.  They showed us how to play Japanese card games and how to write our names in Japanese.

 

"Colour My World" Art Exhibition 2015

For Art Exhibition we had to learn about tinting and blending colours.  We learned to mix primary, secondary and tertiary colours. We had to blend the colours together to make our eye look realistic. We painted the iris as a colour wheel. We added a reflection to the eye to make it look real  We varnished the iris and pupil to make it stand out. We added paper eyelashes to make our eye look 3 dimensional.
